[add-art dev] fyi, add art not working for me

We have some major inconsistency in how things are being released vs.
how they're tagged, e.g. there's no 0.5.2 or 0.5.1 tag, and trunk was
out of sync with the released 0.5.3, which is making debugging this
trickier than it should be :(
On initial diffing I'm not seeing anything glaring, and all the image
files from Bennett's show are loading in chrome OK... gonna add more
tracing and keep digging, this is a showstopper
I'll be by eyebeam today (~2pm), see if we can get this stuff sorted
