[add-art dev] steak & beer

More testing - if someone could help me verify/troubleshoot this?

1. Uninstalled Add-Art and made sure there was no preferences in  
about:config
2. installed version built in the branch /versionsplash.
3. restart
4. no new tab, no page, no preference set up in about:config
5. restart again.  I get the new tab, page loaded from add-art.org  
(http://add-art.org/version.php?ver=0.5.2b) and a preference in  
about:config

Just to see, I created a newer version and tried to update from  
0.5.2b to 0.5.2c

1. installed
2. restarted - no tab, no page, about:config says 0.5.2b
3. restarted again - tab, page (http://add-art.org/version.php? 
ver=0.5.2c&prev=0.5.2b) and about:config says 0.5.2c


How do we get this working on the first restart?
